We’re living through a cataclysmic event unlike anything we’ve ever experienced before. The Covid-19 pandemic has upended life as we know it and thrown many businesses around the world into disarray. With travel restrictions imposed all over the globe, more and more professionals are #wfh and toilet paper is now in higher demand than gold. Much has changed in a short period of time.
At Stone Curtis we’re primed to help you fill the vacuum created by Coronavirus with an online strategy that will help your business continue to drive leads and revenue during the virus response. Eventually, this too shall pass. But in the meantime, we’re dedicated to helping our clients seize opportunities in less than opportune times.
Working remotely? Here’s how to do it.
At SC we’ve mastered the art of working from home as we’ve been doing it for a few years now. Since we implemented a hybrid workforce—gathering the best talent from across the country to complement our in-house team—we’ve learned a few things about how to successfully conduct business online. Though every business is different here are a few things that have worked for us.
Implement Communication Technology
As a branding and communications firm, constant communication is essential to our business. By using instant messaging apps like Slack and videoconferencing platforms like Zoom we’re able to communicate and collaborate even faster than we could in person! In fact it isn’t uncommon for us to Slack each other in the office when we’re sitting no more than 10 feet away.
Kick Things Off with a Daily Dose of Kickass
Every morning we jump on a 15-minute virtual huddle to give each other a quick rundown of the ‘hot-hot’ issues of the day. We call it our Daily Dose of Kickass. You can call yours whatever you like, but it’s a great way to stay connected with your team and keep spirits up.
Virtual Meetings with Clients
As an agency we regularly hold client meetings via videoconferencing. We are fortunate enough to have the opportunity to work with great brands that are spread throughout the globe, and it’s not always feasible (or cost-effective) to meet in person. With videoconferencing platforms like Zoom or Google Duo, you can share documents, execute presentations, and converse with clients the same way you would in person.
Remember to Have Fun
Part of the joy of working in an office is talking about things that don’t involve work. Camaraderie is great for morale. At Stone Curtis, we pride ourselves on being a family (not to mention our heavy meme game). Houseparty with your co-workers every now and then, maybe play a little trivia? The key is to make work fun.
Want to talk specifics? Give us a call. Need help executing an online strategy for your business? We’re working—remotely.
